Some politicians are once again using trans people as political targets, with recent comments from Pauline Hanson at the National Press Club adding to a climate of fear and uncertainty for many in our communities.

When trans people are talked about in this way, it can be exhausting, painful, and deeply unsettling. If that’s how you’re feeling right now, you’re not alone.

Trans people have always been part of our communities and movements for equality, dignity, and safety.

It (deliberate use of a pronoun to denigrate trans people) really is a pathetic excuse for a human being. Zero emotional intelligence, immature, churlish, spiteful, stupid, ignorant of science, chooses factoids over facts. The voice behind Footloose and Danger Zone is 78 now, and the bravest thing Kenny Loggins has done in years is stand fully behind his trans son.

His new documentary, Conviction of the Heart, follows his career from Loggins and Messina through every sweaty 80s movie soundtrack imaginable.

But the part people keep returning to is his youngest, Lou, a trained singer who transitioned. Loggins puts it plainly: "who was then my daughter, is now my son."

Asked at his recent Songwriters Hall of Fame induction what he would tell other parents of trans kids, his answer was short. Keep loving them and keep trusting them.

He has called publicly accepting Lou's transition an expression of love, something he wanted to do for his son out loud. It carries real weight at a moment when trans kids are being legislated out of public life across much of the US and families are flooded with fear for simply backing their own children.

Someone needs to get Sal a few Bex so she can have a long peaceful laydown rather than incessantly punching down on trans women!

She has no agenda for making women's lives better other than creating her franchise of the Hunger Games pitting trans women against le****ns, the inters*x community, women with non conforming cis-bodies and cis women.

It's just a massive culture war being played out by billionaires to keep the populace fighting against each other whilst they pillage wealth and income from the remaining 99% of society.

In her view, the trans, inters*x and non conforming "biological women" community that amounts to just a few percent of society are just eligible conscripts for the weaponisation of hatred and elimination from public spaces.

This has been used over time to racially exclude BIPOCs and people based on class (wealth and nobility) from full participation in society! It has its roots in attitudes of eugenics with a master race of white genetically homogeneous cis-normative obedient droids!

Now that doesn't match the diversity of what humanity really encompasses!!!
