He spent 30 years being taught that Christianity was the problem. Then he studied it for himself.

After escaping a death sentence in Iran, Dr Daniel Shayesteh began studying how religions, cultures and ideologies shape people's lives.

As a former radical Muslim and expert in Islamic philosophy, Daniel says he expected his studies to reinforce what he already believed. Instead, comparing Islam and Christianity challenged everything.

"I was shocked and amazed."

For Daniel, one discovery stood above the rest: freedom. He became convinced that true freedom could only be found in Christianity and ultimately gave his life to Jesus Christ.

"I Helped Bring Iran's Regime to Power... Then They Sentenced Me to Death."

Dr Daniel Shayesteh was once a radical Muslim, a supporter of Ayatollah Khomeini, and part of the Iranian Revolution.

After discovering the regime's deception, he became an opponent, was sentenced to death, and fled for his life. It was during his escape that he encountered Jesus Christ—an experience that transformed everything.

Now, drawing on firsthand experience from inside Iran's revolutionary movement, Dr Shayesteh explains why he believes peace with Iran's current regime is impossible, exposes the realities of Islamic extremism, and calls Christians to pray for the persecuted Church in Iran.

Dr Daniel Shayesteh helped bring Ayatollah Khomeini to power. Then the revolution turned against him.

Daniel Shayesteh became a radical Muslim at university and joined the movement that helped overthrow the Shah of Iran in 1979. But after Khomeini came to power, Daniel says the promises of freedom and democracy quickly disappeared.

He turned against the regime, was sentenced to death and eventually escaped Iran for Turkey.

It was there that his life took another dramatic turn. Daniel encountered Christians, began reading the Gospel and ultimately gave his life to Jesus Christ.

"I really fell in love with Him."
