Human trafficking doesn't end the moment a girl is rescued: It's the beginning of a long road to healing. Over the next month we're going to be walking you through the real, step-by-step journey a girl takes through the SHE Rescue Home in Cambodia. From how she is trafficked, to what it takes for her to thrive again and for her case to close for good. Follow along on our socials this month.

We have news worth celebrating. 🇰🇭✨

SHE Rescue Home has officially renewed our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Cambodian government, meaning we are authorised to continue operating in Cambodia for the next three years.

This doesn't happen automatically. Every three years, our team navigates a renewal process that takes approximately a year! Requiring patience, wisdom, careful relationship-building, and an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes work from our staff in Cambodia.

They do it with grace, every time.

This MOU is the legal and relational foundation everything else stands on. The homes, the girls, the programmes, the futures being built — none of it is possible without it.
We are grateful. And we are not taking it for granted.
Thank you to every member of our team in Cambodia who made this happen. And thank you to every supporter who makes it possible for us to keep showing up. 💛

Her name is Reaksa.* She is 13, loves soccer and reading, and her favourite food is Korko soup. 🍲She wants to be a teacher.

This year, she joined our home and on her first day, we welcomed her with a big pot of her favourite soup. The other girls gathered around the table. For a moment, it just felt like family.

Reaksa* is safe now. She is healing. And she is going to be okay.

Her place in our home was made possible by everyone who gave to our campaign. That means it was made possible by you. 💗 Thank you for making room for her.

Yara* is drawing characters for animations she hasn't made yet. 🎨
She's studying Graphic Design and Animation at university with one year left, all assessments passed. The animation side is the hardest thing she's ever tried. It's also the most rewarding.
In her spare time, Yara* edits music videos and draws. Not for class. Just because she loves it.
And beyond university, Yara* is quietly changing things for her own family, helping her younger siblings find safe opportunities in the city. She carries a lot with grace.
Her dream is to work in movies and storytelling. We think the world needs that story.
