On Saturday 15 August, the Northern Knights and Eastern Ranges football clubs came together for a Lymphoma Awareness Round at Preston City Oval in Melbourne.

It was a day filled with community, passion, compassion and, of course, brilliant footy. 💚

The teams donned lime green socks, ran through lime green ribbons onto the field and came together after the match to hear an inspirational speech from AFL legend and Lymphoma Australia Ambassador, Anthony Rocca.

So much more than footy.

To the players, coaches, clubsupporters, sponsors and everyone who came along.. thank you for showing up not only for the footy, but for Australians affected by lymphoma.

By standing with Lymphoma Australia, you’re standing with people and families facing lymphoma and helping us ensure that no one faces it alone.

What does Lymphoma Australia actually do? A lot more than you might think 💚

We support people living with lymphoma and their families. We educate nurses and healthcare professionals across Australia. We provide resources, education and support groups. And we advocate for better access to treatments and the resources people affected by lymphoma need.

When you are newly diagnosed or living with lymphoma, your whole world can change very quickly.

You may find the tests and scans and waiting for appointments and results scary or stressful. Your relationships with friends, family, colleagues or your partner may change. There are so many things out of your control and this can affect your sense of peace within yourself.

Amanda is currently fighting lymphoma. This September, she's Going Lime to turn her own lymphoma journey into hope for others.

While navigating her own diagnosis, Amanda is raising funds to help Lymphoma Australia provide life-changing support to people affected by lymphoma and to help fund better treatments for the future.

We are incredibly grateful to Amanda for sharing her story, using her experience to help others, and helping us put lymphoma in the LIMElight.
