Congratulations, Captain!

WEMS is very pleased to announce that Lt. Joe Kuchinski has been offered and accepted the position of Captain within the Worcester EMS Operations Division. Joe has distinguished himself over the last several years as a provider, an educator, and a leader amongst his peers. Joe's leadership has been clearly demonstrated in leading the Field Training group, as well as commanding the Worcester EMS Honor Guard to a high degree of perfection. Joe’s proven track record, as well as his willingness to help and to teach others are sure to make him a solid addition and resource for both field staff and administration. Please join us in congratulating Captain Joe Kuchinski on this well-deserved promotion.

Emergency! advanced our industry more than just about any actual paramedic has. The show was instrumental in demonstrating to lawmakers that prehospital care was not only possible, but necessary to improve patient outcomes. Even after the show ended, Randolph Mantooth was a steadfast advocate and spokesman for EMS-related organizations.
