The FAA recently published a new website dedicated to clarifying the privileges, limitations, and process to obtain repairman certificates of varying types.

Covered on the website are “general” repairmen (typically employed by commercial repair stations and air carriers), amateur-built repairmen (obtained by the primary builders of amateur-built aircraft), and light-sport repairmen.
