Congratulations gentlemen🎉

Both Alex (left) and Will (middle) completed SRM's Relapse Prevention Class taught by our Clinical Care Coordinator, Chantal. During this class, residents are taught that prevention is key to the road to recovery. They are taught to create a plan, make goals, and utilize it along with the SRM "Wellness Track and Individual Plan."

Upon receiving his certificate, Will thanked God "for leading me to the Rescue Mission" and he shared how grateful he is for the "relationship I've made here and for my parents for supporting me."

What if a day out of the office could make a difference in our community? 💙

On Friday, August 28, a team of Big Y World Class Market employees spent the day volunteering at the Springfield Rescue Mission painting our break-time gazebo, storage sheds, and the pillars at our front entrance. 🎨👏

But the day was about much more than painting.

Their team had the opportunity to learn about the needs within our community, see the work happening at the Mission, and experience firsthand how businesses can invest in the people we serve. When we work together, everyone benefits.

Every month, the Springfield Rescue Mission is blessed by the generosity of our community. From food and clothing to household essentials, every donation helps us serve those in need.

From time to time, we have specific items that are especially needed. This monthly update is simply a way to share those needs with you.

Congratulations Tyrone 🎉

One of the many classes offered at the Springfield Rescue Mission is How to Resolve Conflict where we study the biblical ways of how to build relationships, bring unity, put a value on people and relationships, and to confront conflict rather than ignore a problem when they occur. This class is open to staff and our Director of Operations, Tyrone, recently attended and passed the test!

Tyrone said, "I love the way [Pastor Brown] teaches. I'll take what I've learned and put it to work."
