Dakin is caring for LOTS of small animals while they wait to meet their new families. It can be hard to stand out in the crowd when you fit in the palm of a hand, but these little pals have BIG personalities! 💙

🚨TOWELS NEEDED!🚨

We almost always need towels at the shelter, but we’re currently CRITICALLY low on full size towels that we use from animal housing to medical care.

Donations of new or gently used full size towels are warmly welcomed daily from 9-4 outside our main doors at 171 Union St, Springfield.

Love dogs and looking for a meaningful way to give back?

Dakin is seeking volunteers to join our routine dog care team to help provide daily care and enrichment for dogs waiting for loving homes.

We're looking for volunteers who are 18+ and can commit to a weekly weekday shift (8:00–11:00 AM or 2:00–5:00 PM). Our greatest need is Friday mornings.
