🔥 WILDFIRE HOUSING ASSISTANCE IS NOW AVAILABLE IN SPOKANE COUNTY

Were you or your family displaced by the Spokane Complex Fires or another Spokane County wildfire since June 14, 2026? Financial assistance may be available to help you regain housing stability.

Spokane County has received $500,000 in Wildfire Housing Assistance Funds, administered by the Spokane Housing Authority.

🏠 Who may qualify?

Homeowners, renters, and families who were living with others may be eligible if they were temporarily or permanently displaced by a wildfire and have a household income at or below 140% of the Area Median Income.

For a family of four, that's up to $154,700 annually.

💜 What can the assistance help with?

Funds may support:
• Rent or temporary housing
• Utilities, deposits, fees, and insurance
• Transportation passes
• Car repairs needed to maintain employment
• Veterinary services for pets
• Obtaining identification
• Work-related equipment
• Personal hygiene and cleaning supplies
• Certain asbestos testing related to temporary emergency housing

Households experiencing homelessness or housing instability will receive priority.

📅 Eligible expenses must fall between August 1, 2026 and January 30, 2027.

Let’s go NAACP and EEG!

The Black Student Block Party is bringing students from across Spokane’s colleges and universities together to build relationships, connect with community resources and strengthen a sense of belonging.

Organized by Gonzaga’s Black Student Union, Spokane’s NAACP chapter and EEG, the event will feature music, art, food and opportunities to connect with Black-centered organizations and resources throughout Spokane.
