Wow! We are fortunate to have amazing partners like Caruso's Sandwiches and Artisan Pizza, McDonald's, KHQ Hayley Guenthner, and KHQ Local News. Thanks to the Help Me Hayley Swimsuit Drive and the many community members who donated, the Spokane Parks Foundation can help make a splash in a kid's life this summer.

Our Make a Splash program provides swimsuits to kids in need who might otherwise be unable to take swimming lessons or enjoy a hot summer day at the pool.

We’re incredibly grateful to KHQ Hayley Guenthner for sharing the story on KHQ Local News. Thanks to her, our generous community, Caruso's Sandwiches and Artisan Pizza, and McDonald's, we collected hundreds of brightly colored children’s swimsuits so all children can enjoy the magic of a hot summer day and a cool dip in the pool.

Thank you for helping make a difference in children’s lives.

On June 4th, the Spokane Parks Foundation will welcome your help as we raise money through a fundraiser at the downtown Spokane Red Robin. But we’ll need your help making sure Red Robin staff know you want a portion of your bill to be donated to the Parks Foundation.

That’s why we ask you to:

· Show the fundraiser flyer, email, text, website, or social post to your server in the restaurant, or

· Add the fundraiser to your cart (Fundraiser To-Go) if you are ordering online. It’s at the bottom of the menu categories on the Red Robin homepage or mobile app.

Be sure to plan now! We’re grateful for your support, and we’re already making our delicious dining choices, too!

IN HONOR OF MEMORIAL DAY...

"I took this at the dedication of the Inland Northwest Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Riverfront Park on Nov. 11, 1985. It was a chilly day, but a pretty good crowd came out. I turned this in as a photojournalism class assignment while studying journalism at Eastern Washington University." -- Paul T. Mueller

The annual 'Help Me Hayley' Make-a-Splash swimsuit drive is happening now. The effort is a partnership with Spokane Parks Foundation and KHQ Hayley Guenthner to ensure children in need in our community can get a new swimsuit.

Appropriate swim attire is a requirement at our community pools for both safety and the pool's filtration system.

It's heartbreaking to see a child unable to get into the pool because they don't have a swimsuit.

That's why events like the swimsuit drive are so helpful to local kids and families. The Spokane Parks Foundation will sort donations at the end of May and then distribute them to local schools, community resource centers, nonprofits, and neighborhood pools.

The need for new swimsuits ranges from toddler to teen. Donations can be dropped off at Caruso's at 1120 Division and at McDonald's restaurants located at 9305 N. Newport Hwy, 2903 E. 29th Ave, and 4647 S. Regal.

Thanks to KHQ Hayley Guenthner, KHQ Local News, and Teen & Kid Closet for your support!

SPOKANE, Wash. — Our annual 'Help Me Hayley' Make-a-Splash swimsuit drive is underway. The effort is a partnership with Spokane Parks Foundation, KHQ Hayley Guenthner, and KHQ Local News to ensure children in need in our community can get a new swimsuit.

Appropriate swim attire is a requirement at our community pools for both safety and the pool's filtration system.

Over the years, the executive director for the Spokane Parks Foundation has shared how heartbreaking it can be to see a child unable to get into the pool because they don't have a swimsuit.

That's why events like the swimsuit drive are so helpful to local kids and families. Donations will be sorted by the Spokane Parks Foundation at the end of May and then distributed to local schools, community resource centers, nonprofits, and neighborhood pools.
