The Liberty Fellowship Class of 2027 is gathered in Spartanburg for their Challenge of Leadership Seminar - the first step in a transformative experience designed to challenge perspectives, deepen relationships, and inspire meaningful leadership.

Over the coming months, these Fellows will engage in thoughtful conversations, explore complex issues, and learn alongside one another as they work to create a stronger South Carolina. We can't wait to see where this journey leads.

We’re proud to introduce Dr. Shaniece Criss as part of Liberty Fellowship’s newest class. Through her leadership in public health, higher education, and local government, Shaniece is already advancing meaningful impact across South Carolina.

As Director of the Advocacy and Social Policy Master’s Program at Furman University and Council Member for the City of Travelers Rest, she focuses on strengthening community well-being, expanding opportunity, and deepening civic engagement. From founding the Youth Council Academy to serving on boards across the Upstate, her work creates pathways for communities to grow stronger and more connected.

We’re excited to welcome Shaniece into the Liberty Fellowship community and support her continued leadership journey across South Carolina and beyond.
