Today we’re spotlighting Anton Gunn (‘11) for his induction into the National Speakers Association Speaker Hall of Fame and for receiving the prestigious Council of P*ers Award for Excellence!

This recognition is one of the highest honors in the professional speaking industry, celebrating leaders who have demonstrated excellence on the stage and made a lasting impact through their work.

Throughout his career, Anton has used his voice and platform to inspire others, develop stronger leaders and create meaningful change in organizations and communities across the country. His commitment to purpose-driven leadership continues to reflect the impact Liberty Fellows are making in South Carolina and beyond.

It’s always a great time when Fellows come together.

Thanks to Melanie Huggins (‘17) for inviting our Spartanburg-area Fellows to her luncheon at Camp Mary Elizabeth last month.

Joining Melanie were John Montgomery (‘17), Allen Smith (‘25), Jamie Fulmer (‘12), Hope Blackley (‘19), and Liberty Fellowship Director of Operations and Administration Janice Wilkins.

Hosted by Huggins, the lunch served as a way for her and her team to explore ways to partner with Spartanburg leaders as they embark on a revitalization and redevelopment of the camp.

Liberty Fellowship is committed to shaping a better future for South Carolina, and this discussion was a great start to opening doors to leaders and making the community more accessible.

The lunch will be held at 12 PM at Turn90 in North Charleston, SC. Hear about Turn90’s success in supporting men returning home from incarceration and view The Missing Half of Justice, a new exhibit exploring the experiences and challenges they face.

Fall into Fellowship events are open to the public, and we welcome everyone to join us for this fun afternoon!

An evening of excitement and enthusiasm for the community!

Shoutout to Fellow Hope Blackley (‘19), who recently hosted the fourth annual One Community Dinner in Spartanburg, SC.

This event brings together local businesses and residents, including Liberty Fellows Dr. Russell Booker (‘12) and Melia Jefferson (‘19), from the Spartanburg community to dine and chat about the city they call home.

Hope has built a foundation of advocacy and leadership throughout her career, and committed herself to strengthening the South Carolina justice system. This dinner is just one example of how Hope works to support fellow leaders and her community.

Today we’re spotlighting Jarrod Tippins (‘25) on the ribbon-cutting for his Liberty Fellow Venture, The Pharmacy at Poynor, a mock pharmacy sponsored by Jarrod and his wife, Jill.

The simulation pharmacy is designed to give Florence 1 Schools students an opportunity to pursue pharmacy technician certification before graduating from high school and allows students to experience the workflow and environment of a community pharmacy.

Throughout his career, Jarrod has demonstrated a commitment to community betterment, maintaining an active part is his hometown community and serving his fellow P*e Dee citizens.

Congratulations, Jarrod! We’re proud to have you in the Liberty Fellowship circle.

Congratulations to fellows and Wyche attorneys Eric Graben (‘07) and Matthew Richardson (‘09) on being named 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers®, one of the legal profession’s most respected peer-review publications.

Graben was awarded for Corporate Law, and Richardson was honored for Product Liability Litigation – Defendants.

The “Lawyer of the Year” honor is awarded to just one attorney in each recognized practice area and geographic region, highlighting the impact Liberty Fellows have on their community.

We are honored to recognize Eric and Matthew and proud to have them in the Liberty Fellowship community.

The event will be held at 5:30 PM at the South Carolina Artisans Center in Walterboro, SC. a special collaboration with Art After Hours, we invite you to come mingle with featured artists and other fellows, with live artist demonstrations.
