90 years ago, philanthropy in our community changed when a few agencies decided to start working together. What began as the United Campaign of Spartanburg grew into United Way of the Piedmont.

This year's Youth Philanthropy Board logged more than 215 hours of service and awarded $5,000 to six local youth-serving programs. We are proud of everything the 26 members of the 2025-2026 Board brought to this community!

This weekend, our Young Leaders volunteered with our partner to help get a house ready for move-in. That’s how Young Leaders build community 🔨👏

Over 4,400 hours of service. That's what our AmeriCorps NCCC crew contributed to this community.

They supported disaster relief cleanup alongside Spartanburg County Emergency Management and helped working families keep more of what they earned through our free VITA tax preparation program. We are grateful for every hour they gave!
