WE LISTEN
We listen in confidence to family members who are troubled by a loved one’s coming out, and who don’t know how to cope. WE SHARE
We share our stories and concerns. We talk with people who have “been there” and who might help others on their journey to loving and accepting a gay family member or friend. WE LEARN
We learn from speakers who come to our meetings and teach us skills we can us

e to help ourselves and others understand sexual diversity. WE ACT
We act on issues that touch on the support of our gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender loved ones.

Support local theatre as the Proud Mary Theatre presents The Book of Merman. Book of Merman splashes Broadway flair into Proud Mary Theatre Company’s mission to celebrate LGBTQ+ stories onstage. 🎭🌈

Two Mormon missionaries accidently knock on the door of Broadway legend Ethel Merman, setting off a hilarious and touching journey about identity, acceptance, and staying true to yourself. Love is an act of bravery and a force that breaks down social barriers. Creativity is the labor of love.

VRTY Arthouse®, PFLAG Spartanburg, and Uplift Outreach Center are coming together to examine love — what it costs, what it creates, and what it challenges.

We are awarding three $1,000 scholarships for students who reside in Spartanburg County or attend a college, university, community college, or technical school located in Spartanburg County. Applications are open to undergraduate students who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community or as allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
