WE LISTEN
We listen in confidence to family members who are troubled by a loved one’s coming out, and who don’t know how to cope. WE SHARE
We share our stories and concerns. We talk with people who have “been there” and who might help others on their journey to loving and accepting a gay family member or friend. WE LEARN
We learn from speakers who come to our meetings and teach us skills we can us

e to help ourselves and others understand sexual diversity. WE ACT
We act on issues that touch on the support of our gay, le***an, bisexual and transgender loved ones.

MODEL CALL | Love Month

Love is an act of bravery and a force that breaks down social barriers. Creativity is the labor of love.

VRTY Arthouse®, PFLAG Spartanburg, and Uplift Outreach Center are coming together to examine love — what it costs, what it creates, and what it challenges.

We are awarding three $1,000 scholarships for students who reside in Spartanburg County or attend a college, university, community college, or technical school located in Spartanburg County. Applications are open to undergraduate students who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community or as allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. The details are available at the link in our bio, and the applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on June 15, 2026. If you have questions, please send us a DM.

Such a fun morning!! Our team raised $852 for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention! Not only were we the highest fundraising team, but Buck Cooke and Traci Chapman were #1 and #3 individual contributors overall!

We are supporting the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention at USC Upstate on March 28th. We hope you will consider donating towards our $500 goal and joining our team!

The Trevor Project’s 2024 U.S. National Survey on the Mental Health of LGBTQ Young People found that 39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting su***de in the past year, including roughly half of transgender and nonbinary youth. These statistics only increase for our black and trans youth.

Please help us support our cause and bring awareness to LGBTQIA+ su***de risk by joining our team and our fundraiser for this cause.
