New Riders Rides
Welcome! This ride is for middle and high schoolers who have little to no experience trail riding but are interested in joining the Spartanburg youth mountain biking team.

Attendees need a trail capable bike, helmet, and water bottle on their bike or hydration pack. They should wear comfortable athletic clothes and tennis shoes.

JUNE 4 - BIKES AVAILABLE TO TRY. At our June 4th event only, bikes will be available for participants to use. This is a great way to try it out before committing to purchasing a mountain bike! Participants still need to bring a helmet and water.

Event Timing: 6:00 pm, Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Event Address: Holston Creek Park, 7561 New Cut Rd, Inman, SC 29349
There is a small metal pavilion at the end of the park past all of the ball fields. This is where the bike trail begins and where we will be.

Visit Also, we have a great opportunity for those who are interested but want to try it out before buying a bike. On our June 4th new riders ride, the league director can bring a trailer with bikes that kids can use. Please spread the word and direct them to our website where they can sign up for the ride.

Let’s get busy! Be sure to let us know on Spond if you will be there!

What: Trail maintenance work and ride on Buffalo SCICL Race Course. We need help trimming branches, blowing pine needles off trail, w**d wacking, etc..
When: 10am-1pm on Sat Oct 11th.
Where: 2788 Buffalo-West Springs Highway Buffalo SC. (Turn in at white fencing, stay straight with power lines for 1/4 mile)

Some details:
-Bring power tools (blowers, w**d wackers), Mcleod tools, rakes, shovels. Gloves and boots are advised as we clear the trail.
-Private property, completely primitive, no facilities, maybe a Porta John but don't count on it.
-Bring your bike! Plan is to do cleanup from 10a-12p, and then ride after. The more on hand, the more we can ride!
-Bring a sandwich and drinks. It's a fun race course to ride.
-Cell service is available in most of the race course vicinity. Walkie Talkies are helpful.
