The “Sharia-free America caucus” is nothing but hatred coming from public officials, we need more folks in positions of power like to call out these baseless Islamophobic claims that have real life consequences for the Muslim community.

The Muslim community was just targeted in San Diego, we’ve seen violence against Muslims continuing to rise.

Our politicians have a responsibility to not spew this propaganda but stand against it and oppose hate, anti-Islam statements of our politicans contibute to community attacks against Muslims.

We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place yesterday in San Diego. We are praying for the community and pray there is justice for this heinous attack on the Muslim community.

We encourage our community members who feel on edge to take a look at our Mosque safety guide so we can all make sure we’re taking safety precautions to ensure our Masjids stay safe.

CAIR WA Executive Director Imraan Siddiqi on the recent horrific attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego earlier today.

Our houses of worship should never be targeted. Islamophobia has been on the rise and our communities continue to be the target of blatant attacks and discrimination.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the entire San Diego community. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (indeed we belong to him, and indeed to him we will return)

Our incredible legal team is celebrating the release of a client from immigration detention in Tacoma, Washington. The team filed a habeas corpus petition in federal court and won! Great work by our legal team in winning this ruling against this administration to help free an unjustly detained individual.

CAIR-WA’s official statement on the University of Washington’s decision to remove a professor as the Middle East Center Director.

UW professor Aria Fani was informed the end of March that he was removed from his position at the Director of the Middle East Center for emails he sent out to the centers listserv that criticized the involvement of the US and Israel with the ongoing war on Iran.

We stand against the continued targeting of higher education faculty for criticizing US-Israeli actions in the Middle East. CAIR-WA condemns the University’s unjust decision. This is a continuation of suppressing criticism of Israel and infringing upon the First Amendment’s free speech.
