October 12 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We invite you to join us in showing gratitude, humility, and solidarity with Indigenous peoples today and throughout our lives.

We must learn from the original stewards of the land, where people and nature coexisted in balance for centuries. Read our blog about taking "just enough" https://loom.ly/TXDp5jM

ACTION ALERT 🚨The Department of Ecology needs to hear from you on its latest rulemaking process for the Shoreline Management Act!

Sea level rise and storm surges from climate change are already here and will only continue to worsen and become more frequent. Ecology's update to this law will outline how authorities will adapt, protect, and restore our shorelines over the next 100 years.

For decades, Buckhorn Mine has released poisonous pollution into nearby waterways and contaminated rivers downstream. This week, the court allowed a lawsuit that enforces the Clean Water Act to proceed against corporate polluters Crown Resources Corp and Kingross Gold USA. This is a victory for clean water and polluter accountability! 🎉

We thank the Okanogan Highlands Alliance for the decades of work to hold a major polluter accountable. We're grateful to Attorney General Nick Brown and his office for their service to the public and the environment.

When the four lower Snake River dams are removed, how do we maintain the services they provide?

Four new Washington State studies offer a roadmap to a free-flowing lower Snake River while keeping essential services. The Transportation study is a plan for shipping wheat if barging on the lower Snake River ends.

Speak up for new infrastructure that allows Washington to restore a free-flowing lower Snake River! Attend an upcoming WSDOT open house:

ACTION ALERT📣 Trump's EPA is trying to weaken clean water protections. We need your voice: wcaction.us/CWA.

➡️In 2025, the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers proposed further changes to the WOTUS definition known as the “Polluted Water Rule.”

➡️On September 4, 2026, they released a supplemental proposal that would dramatically reduce the number of streams and wetlands subject to federal Clean Water Act protections, leaving them open to pollution and destruction.

Urge the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers to protect streams, wetlands, and drinking-water sources: wcaction.us/CWA. We've provided a sample comment, but your personalization is important for it to count!
