Each year, IBEW Local 569’s Padres Day and Annual Picnic bring members, retirees, apprentices, and families together to cheer, laugh, reconnect, and celebrate what it means to be part of our union family.
These annual events strengthen friendships, welcome new members, and remind our families that we all belong to something bigger than ourselves.
Our union is built through community, trust, brotherhood, and sisterhood. Thank you to everyone who continues to make Local 569 strong.

We are happy to be a part in cleaning the air for the kids and faculty of the Boys & Girls Club of Imperial Beach

What an incredible day celebrating the Boys & Girls Clubs of South County's Clean Energy Resilience Project at the Imperial Beach Club!

This new 25.5kW solar and 54kWh battery storage system is expected to save the Club nearly $500,000 over the next 30 years, helping strengthen programs and resources for youth and families for decades to come.

More than an infrastructure project, this investment supports community resilience, public health, environmental justice, climate education and a stronger future for Imperial Beach.

We're grateful to celebrate alongside San Diego County Supervisor Paloma Aguirre, Imperial Beach Mayor Mitch McKay, our project partners including San Diego Community Power, the San Diego Foundation, BQuest Foundation, Aloha Solar Power and IBEW Local 569, and the Club youth who will benefit most from this investment. Big thanks to Jim La Joie for giving the Club's youth a solar cooking demonstration after the ribbon-cutting celebration.

As stated by Dan Mueller, our Director of Strategy & Impact, in their speech, "This project shows what's possible when communities come together to invest in climate solutions that create lasting impact.

For us, the work doesn't end now that we cut this ribbon. In many ways, it's just beginning. The Boys & Girls Club has a bold vision for the future. Hammond Climate Solutions Foundation is continuing to build partnerships, secure resources, and expand the initiative and this club is our pilot.

Whether you're a funder, a public leader, a business owner, a community member or simply someone who believes every family deserves the opportunity to thrive, there is a role for you in this work. Because the future we're talking about today won't be built by any one organization. It will be built the same way this project was built: together."

Student-athletes in El Centro will soon have expanded spaces to train, compete, and build lasting memories thanks to ongoing improvements at Southwest High School.

IBEW Local 569 members working for Premier Electrical Solutions are helping expand the school's athletics campus, delivering the craftsmanship and reliability that help communities thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

We invite you to join our 2025 IBEW 569 Family Picnic for a full day of fun, food, and sun! The new additions to last year’s picnic were a great success, so we’re bringing back the petting zoo and inflatable slides for the kids, along with the usual food and drinks for members and their families.

Local 569 secured the entire park, so parking is going to be great.

Must bring dues receipt to be eligible for prizes!

– Please leave your pets at home.
– Bring chairs, canopies, and blankets as seating is limited.
