Beginning in July 2026, seats will be available for several regions, including the Superior California Region, North Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, Northern San Joaquin Valley, Southern San Joaquin Valley, and an At-Large statewide position. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and there is no deadline to apply.

The Center for Scholars and Storytellers at UCLA released a curated YouTube kids playlist featuring authentic, strengths-based stories created by and about young people who have been impacted by the foster care system.

This is a great resource for caregivers, educators, advocates, and anyone seeking to share affirming stories that reflect the lived experiences of youth with foster care backgrounds.
