Our Interim ED Denise Goodman went up to Saskatchewan, Canada, to train ministry staff and present at the annual Saskatchewan Foster Families Association conference last week.

Big thanks to our neighbors to the north for hosting such a great event and the foster families who made it a wonderful experience! October is Foster Parent Appreciation Month in Canada, and we're grateful for the many Canadian organizations and families who show up for children and teens in foster care every day.

Another shoutout to our friends Kevin Harris, Board President for The Canadian Foster Family Association, and Deb Davies, Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Foster Families Association (pictured below). Thank you for your work to create a better foster care system for children in care!

Some photos from the National Foster Parent Association 55th annual Education Conference this week! Josh Kroll attended to help advocate for better rights for children in foster care and their families, taking part in Advocacy Day and speaking directly with a Representative's staff member and a House Ways and Means staff member on Capitol Hill. He also connected with IRS outreach staff who were also attending the conference!

Josh is our Adoption Subsidy Resource Center Coordinator, where he's helped thousands of families navigate adoption assistance and the Adoption Tax Credit. Josh also leads our advocacy efforts to create a healthier, stronger child welfare system for millions of kids and families across the US.
