Gillian Durand is an early professional in the outpatient pelvic health and sports/orthopedics setting who graduated from St. Catherine University in 2026.

Sydney Hunter is a current third-year DPT student at St. Catherine University interested in sports and orthopedics.

Jayden Frederick is a current second-year DPT student at Mayo Clinic interested in sports and orthopedics.

Max Hanninen is a current third-year DPT student at Concordia University, St. Paul interested in outpatient orthopedics and private practice.

Meet the APTA Sections Webinar Series is kicking off! This new series is designed to help students and early-career professionals learn more about APTA sections and academies, the resources they offer, and different ways to get involved. First up: APTA Orthopedics.

Not sure where to start? This session has you covered. Students will get to meet APTA Orthopedics and learn how to get involved, find their community by connecting with students, mentors, and PTs who share their interests, build their knowledge through Clinical Practice Guidelines, tools, and courses beyond the classroom, and explore their future through mentorship, volunteering, leadership, and residency and fellowship prep opportunities. There will also be tips on staying connected with student events, plus a live Q&A with APTA Orthopedics members and leaders.

You don’t need to know everything about APTA Orthopedics, you just need to be curious. Come explore, connect, and find what fits your journey.
