NGPA’s 2026 Scholarship Application Window is officially open, with more than $500,000 in scholarships available thanks to the incredible support of our members and sponsors! From June 1 through July 31, eligible members can apply for opportunities designed to help launch and advance careers across the aviation industry.

Volunteering through NGPA is one of the most meaningful ways to give back to the aviation community that continues to open doors for so many. It’s about actively helping create spaces where connection, mentorship, and belonging can thrive.
Whether supporting chapter events, helping with outreach, or assisting at larger gatherings, every volunteer plays a role in strengthening the network that keeps NGPA moving forward. 👏 Congratulations to Hein Kwon (She/They) for being awarded the NGPA Founder Award Scholarship!

✈️ Originally from Seoul, South Korea, and currently based in Cleveland, OH, Hein Kwon is training towards an airline career. Kwon is currently preparing for and completing their ATP-CTP and MEI training. Hein Kwon is heavily involved in NGPA and values the organization’s mission of fostering inclusion, mentorship, and professional growth. In addition to their aviation involvement, Kwon volunteers with the Cleveland LGBTQ+ center, supporting community outreach and advocacy efforts.

Through both aviation and community outreach, Kwon is committed to increasing visibility, representation, and equity for LGBTQ+ individuals in aviation.
