Corrected date: Sat., June 6th! With just one week left until Money Action Day 2026, we wanted to share a sneak peek into some of this year's raffle prizes! Several local organizations have generously donated tickets, gift baskets, and other goodies, so there's something for everyone.

Money Action Day is a free, family-friendly event designed to help Twin Cities residents learn about resources they can use to reach their financial goals and get support. Experts will be there to talk homeownership, credit-building, and more. There will also be free food, games, and other fun activities (like this raffle)!

MN families: If you signed up for advance payments of the Minnesota Child Tax Credit this year, watch your mail.

The Minnesota Department of Revenue is sending welcome letters with payment dates, payment amounts, and important information about your advance payments.

The letter also explains how to use MNDOR e-Services to update your mailing address, switch from direct deposit to paper checks, stop advance payments, or review your payment information.

Be sure to review the letter so you stay informed!

Families with low to moderate incomes may be able to lower their tax bill or increase their refund next tax season if they have certain educational expenses for their K-12 student, including music lessons.
