Letting go is one of the biggest lessons in recovery; people, places, things. This leaves a space for either new beginnings OR for old familiar patterns to return.

Through a journey of self discovery, we refill those voids with fresh hope and infinite possibilities. 🧭

This past week we closed the chapter on our flagship home. We are grateful for the opportunities, lessons, and memories that happened within these walls. However, like a root bound plant, we too can outgrow our container. Literally and metaphorically.🌱

Through new growth, trust, hard work and dependability we are now able to start a new chapter in an entirely renovated home! Just like our path of recovery: Our inner work is a direct reflection of outward expression. 🪞

We hope many men will take pride in this fresh, light, airy home and that it will breathe inspiration and motivation into their life!💪

Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of darkness, and radiate into the world!🪷

Recovery work takes a community.

Four Truths Recovery is grateful to the City of Roanoke, Virginia - Government for serving as the fiscal agent for our Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority cooperative grant, alongside Roanoke County, Virginia.

Partnerships like this help make it possible to bring resources into our community and expand opportunities for people working toward healthier, more stable futures. Advocates who help move these resources where they can make a difference bring dreams to fruition.

There are more "firsts” to come.

The first time painting. The first time mowing the lawn. The first time grilling dinner. The first time getting a driver’s license. The first time discovering a new hobby or realizing, “I can do this.”

Keila knows what those firsts can mean. She was also our first house women & children’s house manager. And there are more firsts ahead.

There isn’t one way to build a better life. For some, it starts with a safe place to sleep. For others, it’s reconnecting with family, finding steady work, learning a new skill, or simply having a group of people who believe in them.

At FTR, we meet people where they are and help create the stability and support needed to take the next step. Progress doesn’t have to look perfect.

Our annual FTR Lake Day was a blast! ☀️

As a family we were able to connect, share a lot of laughs, and celebrate many ‘firsts’. From catching a fish, paddle boarding, 1st birthday, a new baby on the way, and many more. Recovery can be hard work but we all have to remember to pause to appreciate how far you’ve come and enjoy some relaxation, nature, and FUN along the way!

The Roanoke Valley Collective Response shared their Hope Rope for our adventure and gave peers a chance to,
🎶”put down what you are carrying”🎶

Recovery Rocks provided an opportunity for art and creation; they will be placed throughout our community to shed a little hope for those who need it!

We are so grateful to each and every person who has allowed us to walk alongside them for a piece of their journey towards a brighter future!💜💪🪷

Today is National Sobriety Day, and we’re recognizing this day by looking beyond where someone has been.

Four Truths Recovery is working toward opening a recovery center that will expand programming, resources, and support for individuals and families throughout our community.

There is a need, and we're focused on building the solution.

As many of us head into another work week, it’s worth remembering that life is built on more than hard work.

It’s built in the moments when we slow down enough to be present with the people we care about. In finding reasons to laugh. Trying something new. Making memories. And discovering what brings us joy.

For someone rebuilding their life, having people in their corner can make all the difference.
