Monday was National Rubber Ducky Day, and we had our usual fun!
We didn’t take pictures because we were having too much fun interacting with the mall employees, and some shoppers, to whom we gave the ducks. But we did capture this short video with our first interaction…
My youngest Grand, Chancellor (6y.o.), picked out which ducks to give in each location, and I explained the holiday. Our friend, Angela, handed out cards and helped Chance hold his duck choices.
Our favorite part is always seeing the smiles, and hearing the laughter - and this year, all the rubber ducky squeaks as we were leaving the stores!
One store employee told us that throughout the year, employees will hide the ducks in their store like a scavenger hunt. They had 2 from previous years, and we gave her their 3rd hunt target.
Mark your calendars for next year! January 13th. Grab some ducks from your local party store or buy them bulk online and join the fun where you are. I guarantee you’ll find yourself smiling and laughing with a heart full of joy!
