¿Tiene medicamentos, vitaminas o fármacos para animales —ya sean no utilizados o caducados— ocupando espacio en casa? Acompáñenos el 24 de octubre de 2026, de 10:00 a. m. a 2:00 p. m., en diversos puntos del Roanoke Valley para deshacerse de ellos de forma segura. ¡Habrá voluntarios de RAYSAC en el lugar ofreciendo obsequios y material educativo, además de brindar asistencia a personas mayores y a aquellas con necesidades especiales!

National Drug Takeback Day is BACK!
Got unused or expired medications, vitamins, or animal medications taking up room in your home? Join us at sites across the Roanoke Valley to safely dispose of them on October 24, 2026 from 10am-2pm. RAYSAC volunteers will be on scene with giveaways, educational items, and assistance for elderly/special needs!

7-OH and other synthetic Kratom products can be deadly and are for sale in gas stations and smoke shops across the Roanoke Valley. These legal products are far more concentrated than natural kratom, and as you can see from this news story, can end a life without even knowing what a person is taking.

A couple whose son died after using an over-the-counter product is pushing lawmakers to pass stricter regulations.
