Sometimes learning about healthy food starts with simply getting the chance to try it.
We’re so grateful to WDBJ7’s Natalie Faunce and Kimberly McBroom for shining a light on the work happening at the YMCA Express at Gainsboro, where kids are getting hands-on experience with cooking and growing their own food in our garden.
Through these programs kids are learning where their food comes from, building confidence in the kitchen and learning skills that last a lifetime.
And we have to give a BIG shoutout to Chef AJ, who absolutely crushed his first live TV interview! 👏 We couldn't be prouder of him and the way he shared the heart behind these programs.
