🐾💙 Remember Skywalker? We Have an Update on Our Sweet Boy! 💙🐾
Do y’all remember Skywalker, our handsome Lynx Point Siamese who came to us with an injured paw? Well, we have an update on our boy, and unfortunately, it’s not quite the news we were hoping for. 💔
After consulting with several veterinarians, we’ve learned that Skywalker will need to have his leg amputated. While this isn’t the outcome we wanted for him, we want to give him the best possible chance at living a happy, healthy, pain-free life. ❤️
We have received an estimate from Rutland Animal Hospital, who has been caring for Skywalker. The estimated cost for the amputation alone is $1,752, and that does NOT include his neuter. This is a significant expense for our rescue, so we are continuing to reach out to other veterinary practices to see if we can find a more affordable option.
We are also hoping to have Skywalker neutered during the same procedure. If possible, we want to avoid putting him under anesthesia twice and make this as easy on his body as we can.
💕 THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💕
As many of you know, Cat’s Cradle is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We rely on the generosity of our community and supporters to help us care for cats and kittens who need extra medical attention. Surgeries like this can be costly, but Skywalker deserves every chance we can give him.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us get closer to covering the cost of his surgery. Even $5 can make a difference when we all come together! If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story can help us reach someone who can. 🐾
Despite everything he has been through, Skywalker is an incredibly sweet, loving boy with SO much love to give. 🥹💙 We cannot wait for the day when he has recovered, is ready for adoption, and finds a forever family who will love him exactly as he is.
Please consider helping us give Skywalker his second chance. We will continue to keep everyone updated on his journey!
