to Cynthia and the team at Junior Achievement of Central Virginia for kicking off the first stop of our 2026 Next Level Summer Camp!

While summer camp is filled with exciting experiences, field trips, and fun, our mission has always been bigger than entertainment. At Fostering Hope RVA, we are intentional about creating opportunities that Equip, Empower, and Elevate youth in foster care for successful independent living.

Through Junior Achievement’s engaging activities and real-world lessons, our campers explored important topics that will help them navigate adulthood with confidence. Sometimes growth doesn’t always feel like “fun” in the moment—but learning how to manage money, make decisions, prepare for careers, and build life skills is what creates lasting impact.

We believe that every lesson learned today becomes a tool our youth can use tomorrow.

Together, we’re helping them build a future filled with possibility. 💙

💈HUGE THANK YOU TO BLADE THERAPY! 💈

Monday was one of those moments that reminded us why community matters.

When we looked outside and saw the Blade Therapy team pulling up, we had no idea they were about to transform our camp into a real barbershop experience.
One by one, the team rolled full-sized barber chairs down the truck ramp and set up an entire shop right inside our Summer Camp for our young men.

What may seem like a haircut to some is so much more. It’s confidence. It’s dignity. It’s self-care. It’s feeling seen.❤️

A special thank you to my friend 1marcthebarber , owner of Blade Therapy, for taking the time to speak directly to our young men about entrepreneurship, ownership, and the importance of learning a trade.

Your words carried just as much impact as the fresh cuts.

To Travis and the entire Blade Therapy staff—thank you for showing up, serving with excellence, and investing in our youth.
You didn’t just provide a service; you created an experience our young men will remember long after camp is over.

Because of community partners like you, our youth are reminded that people believe in them, support them, and are willing to pour into their future.

Summer Camp is in progress
and it's nothing to sleep on!🤣

Thank you to India of Life Of The Party🥳 for coming out to facilitate a Balloon Garland workshop for our kids.
This generation is full of kids that want to be entrepreneurs so that's what we packed camp with in an effort to learn the art of entrepreneurship.

The kids were so elated to get hired, but...
India gave them an amazing lesson about understanding your craft first!❤️

Thank you also for King of Pops for providing the afternoon snack for our youth which came in handy with the weather being so hot outside.
