We’re grateful to the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation for recognizing Commonwealth Catholic Charities as a recipient of its spring grant cycle!

We were honored to join fellow grant recipients at a luncheon celebrating the organizations working to strengthen communities across Virginia.

The grant we received helps sustain CCC’s work serving families, welcoming new Americans, and supporting people facing housing challenges. This flexible support is invaluable, helping us continue to respond to the needs of the communities we serve.❤

Restoration Housing transformed the annex of Trinity United Methodist Church into Trinity Commons, creating 15 affordable apartments for seniors in Roanoke.

Our partnership with Restoration Housing and our work with residents like David Wicks, has allowed us to see firsthand the difference a safe, affordable place to call home can make.

“I wanted to make change. I wanted to have something better in life. And this program, with Trinity Commons and CCC, gave me that opportunity to do so.”
David Wicks

Apartments serve a need, but more work needs to be done.

Over the last couple weeks we had fun making sure kids in our programs across Virginia had the backpacks and school supplies they would need for the new school year.

Thank you to all of our community partners who helped make this possible.

"When infertility became part of our path, it didn’t dim that dream [of becoming parents]...it made it clearer. We realized that family is built through love, intention, and the willingness to open your heart in ways you never expected." - Michelle & Kris
