Grigsby has been a reliable and invaluable volunteer since 2021 with hundreds of hours dedicated to improving, participating and enhancing the art scene in Downtown Redding.

Juneteenth Celebration next Friday!
Friday, June 19th celebrate Juneteenth in Downtown Redding at Whistlestop park 1470 Market Street. 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

This is the third year of this celebration taking place in Downtown Redding - Juneteenth celebrates the official end of slavery in the United States.

Presented by Shasta Coalition of African Americans for community health, education, and empowerment.

"Mr. Moynahan, you are history." — Former students

Mike Moynahan is being recognized for his historic preservation efforts in Downtown Redding through the Shasta Historical Society. He exemplifies Viva Downtown's mission of enhancing Downtown Redding through social, cultural, and economic development.

Mike is a driving force of energy, excitement, and passion for his family, community, and history. Moynahan is a retired educator (and proud Hornet) who taught at Enterprise High School for 32 years. He has served on the Shasta Historical Society Board of Directors since 2012, has chaired the board three times, and has helped lead the society's mission to actively preserve, promote, and bring to life the history of Shasta County here our California Main Street and Main Street America District

Become a part of preserving and learning about Shasta County history by visiting the Shasta Historical Society at 1449 Market Street. You'll most likely find Mr. Moynahan preparing an outstanding educational program.

Adopt a Block, Adopt a Pet 🐾
Haven Humane Society was in Downtown Redding today on First Friday, cleaning the street they adopted!

Speaking of adoption, Free California Adopt-a-Pet Day is tomorrow, Saturday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Haven Humane Society is waiving ALL adoption fees for pets in their Morgan Adoption Center.

Adopt your new friend or family member and know that these rescued animals will change your life just as much as you will change theirs. Thank you, Haven Humane, for adopting our Downtown block and rescuing our furry friends.
