The Luis Miramontes Memorial Foundation Inc.

The Luis Miramontes Memorial Foundation Inc. The Louie Foundation was established to help build a tradition of raising funds for cancer research.

Even after being diagnosed with Squamous cell cancer, Luis Miramontes wanted only one thing: To be judged as a professional business man, loving husband and father of two children, not as a victim of an incurable illness. Now, thanks to so many friends the late Luis Miramontes is fighting back against the disease that took his life all too soon. “Louie always remembered the people that helped him

along the way, and he always wanted to give back in the same way. Louie continued to teach kids the game of golf with the goal of making it a lifelong experience that they could enjoy forever”! Randy Denham, a personal friend of the family, described it best in June 2008: “He knew what had helped him most in life and he wanted to share what he’d been given with everyone else. Louie also knew his time was coming; he lived it to the end. Holding hands with his wife, taking a walk, watching the kids play, He enjoyed life to the best of his ability”. Now his friends have banded together to raise money to fight cancer in his memory so that his life, and death, will not go unnoticed. With the support of the business community and other organizations, we will help in the fight against cancer.

✨ Happy New Year ✨
As we step into a new year, our hearts are with every family facing a cancer journey — the patients, the caregivers, and the loved ones standing beside them through every appointment, every milestone, and every hard day.

To those celebrating new beginnings, we rejoice with you.
To those carrying loss, uncertainty, or exhaustion, please know you are not alone.

This year, we remain committed to our mission: supporting families, advancing life-saving care, and building spaces of comfort and hope — including the future Louie House — so families can stay close when it matters most.

May the year ahead bring strength, compassion, and moments of light, even in the hardest seasons.

From all of us at the Louie Foundation, we wish you peace and hope in the new year. 💛

💛 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 💛
As we wrap up this season of gratitude, we’re asking our community to consider supporting The Louie Foundation this Giving Tuesday.

If you or someone you love has ever faced the frightening, exhausting, and emotional journey of battling cancer, then you already understand why we exist. Families shouldn’t have to walk that road alone — and they certainly shouldn’t have to choose between being close to their loved one and the cost of travel or lodging.

Your support helps us continue our mission to make a real impact:

✨ Bringing life-saving medical equipment to our local cancer center
✨ Building The Louie House — a place for families to stay close while their loved ones undergo treatment
✨ Providing comfort, hope, and practical support during the hardest days

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us move this mission forward.
Every act of generosity keeps families together.
And every share helps us reach someone who may want to give.

💛 Please consider supporting The Louie Foundation this Giving Tuesday.
Together, we can change lives.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving 💛
Today we’re especially grateful for the people who make our lives meaningful — our family, our friends, and this incredible community.

As we gather, we also hold close the loved ones who are no longer here. Their memories, love, and impact continue to live on in our hearts and in the stories we share.

Thank you for your kindness, your support, and the way you show up for one another. May your day be filled with warmth, connection, and reminders of what truly matters.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and heartfelt Thanksgiving. 🍂🧡

💔 We lost a beloved member of the Louie Family 💔
Redding has tragically lost an incredible human being. Luis “Louie” Miramontes passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 11th, leaving behind his pregnant wife Samantha Miramontes and their two young daughters, Ava and Emma.

Louie’s story deeply touches our Louie Foundation family — his father, Luis Miramontes, passed away from cancer when Louie was young. Now, his mother Machelle Miramontes-Henning, sister Alexa, his loving wife Samantha, his daughters Ava and Emma and his niece and nephews are faced with the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a son, brother, husband, father and uncle.

A dedicated nurse and caretaker at Mercy, Louie devoted his life to helping others both in and outside the hospital. Known for his warm smile, kind spirit, and welcoming heart, he brought people together through laughter, compassion, and connection. Whether spending time with his family or playing Lorcana with friends, he was always the first to make others feel seen and included.

Louie was happiest when surrounded by his wife and children, always smiling, teaching, and lifting others up. His patience, kindness, and love for his family shined in every moment.
As the Miramontes family navigates this devastating loss, they will need our love and support more than ever. If you’re able, please consider donating to help Samantha and the kids during this difficult time.

🙏 Please keep the Miramontes family in your prayers.

Let’s honor Louie’s memory by continuing his legacy — be kind, smile big, and cherish the people around you.
