At the 2026 Redding City Trails Conference, Kären Haley shared the incredible economic impact of building safe, connected, convenient city trails to connect people to where they want to go.
Since the Indianapolis Cultural Trail was built:
• 39 trail-adjacent business and housing developments have been built.
• More than $3 billion in property value generated from the properties along the trail.
Her message was simple: Redding already has the pieces. With continued collaboration, vision, and community support, we have the opportunity to create the same kind of lasting impact right here at home.
