🚨THE LONE STRANGER HAS BEEN UNMASKED

The Asphalt Cowboys announced Thursday that the mystery behind this year’s “Lone Stranger” bank robbery at 5 Star Bank in Redding has officially been solved.

According to Asphalt Cowboys retired Redding Police Sergeant Dan Kupsky correctly identified both suspects on Wednesday and claimed the reward.

This year’s Lone Stranger turned out to be Redding Police Chief Brian Barner, while the accomplice was revealed as Karline Niver, owner of Karline’s Restaurant and Deja Vu in Redding.

For cracking the case, Kupsky will receive a $400 prize from the Asphalt Cowboys, who joked that he succeeded where they could not by finally bringing the outlaws to justice.

Today, we were visiting with a woman who brings her daughter to Special Needs Kids Day every year. She told us her daughter has been coming since she was 7 years old. She is 22 now.
What made the story even more special is that Brian’s father, who was also an Asphalt Cowboy, was the one who gave her her very first horse ride all those years ago.
That is exactly why we do this.
It is about showing up for the community year after year. It is about moments that stay with families. It's about the kind of legacy that lives on through this club, with fathers who served before and sons who now carry that same heart forward.
This morning was a reminder that what may feel like one small act of kindness can become a memory someone holds onto for a lifetime.
