We’re so proud of our P-Podder Alex, an incredible T1D who proved nothings going to stop her, especially Type 1 Diabetes!

Our little runner is age 9, diagnosed with T1D in August 2025 and ran her first ever 5k at Girls On The Run Maine using her Omnipod with as she says her “Dex-a-com G7”. Dexcom

She kept her blood sugars stable around 150 the whole race and finished the race in 29 minutes with her sister!

Alex is now getting ready for softball season with her family reporting that after attending Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake with Maine P-Pods she’s building confidence and a better understanding of T1D. 💪

Thank you to everyone who swung by Renys and made it a Maine Adventure to give back to the Maine T1D community.

The T1D Maine P-Pods community lived like Rockstars after a fun filled day at camp where over 60 people of Type 1 Diabetic families came together followed by a night of Rock n Roll with our favorite T1D rockstar !

Together we spent the day swimming, zip lining, eating, learning and dancing but most of all connecting with others whose families are impacted by Type 1.

Stay tuned as we prepare for our Fall/Winter events and contact us with any ideas for future events through out Maine so we can bring more families together.
