Off The Couch Events - Activity Night Socialization opportunity for adults with disabilities age 18 and over Young adults with diverse abilities often become isolated after leaving high school.

On the Third Friday of every month, individuals age 18 and over gather to participate in OTCE's Activity Night. They dance, play board games, celebrate birthdays, create a craft, and most importantly, socialize. Activity Night fills this void. We're having fun, making friends and changing lives.

Join us! Activity Night is for adults with disabilities age 18 and over. Cost is $7 and first companion is free. All new attendees must come with a companion over the age of 18. It's almost October and time to look ahead to our Monster Mash Activity Night on October 16th. We will have a costume contest including Best Participant and Best Provider costume categories. Other categories include Cutest Costume, Most Creative Costume, Best Couples Costume, and Funniest Costume. Can't wait to see your creativity! Start practicing your Thriller moves!
When: Friday, October 16th
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 11560 SE Market Street in Portland.
Cost: $7 for participants and provider/companion is free. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
We will be celebrating September and October birthdays.
What do I need to know? Activity Night is open to adults with disabilities age 18 and over. All new attendees must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18. Activity Night is a party with two hours of just plain fun.
Code of Conduct is posted at Activity Night. No outside food please. A special request - Please if you feel like you might be getting sick, be considerate and wait and attend next month. Thank you. Looking forward to seeing you.

Due to illness, we are having to cancel tonight’s Flying Pie event. I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t want any of you to get sick. We have many immunocompromised individuals who attend. See you in October.

Important!! Due to illness, we are canceling Friday’s pizza party. We are so sorry, but we do not want to make anyone else sick. Please let any other Off The Couch attendees know. We will see you in October for our Monster Mash.

CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS: The theme for September Activity Night at Flying Pie Pizzeria (see below) will be Favorite Sports Team Night. If you'd like, wear the colors of your favorite team. Also, please note that Flying Pie is accessible and the payment for the evening needs to be cash. Thank you.

CANCELED DUE TO ILLNESS: Welcome back! Due to a scheduling conflict with the church, our September Activity Night will be held at Flying Pie Pizzeria, 7804 SE Stark Street in Portland, from 6:30-8:30 pm on Friday, September 18th. Due to the location change, we will only be having pizza and playing bingo. It's $7 for participants and first companion/provider is free. Off The Couch will be ordering an assortment of pizzas and drinks that you can choose from. This event is for adults with disabilities and their providers/companions - age 18 and over. If you could please let me know if you are coming and how many, it would be greatly appreciated. Please comment or email [email protected]. October's event will be back at our regular space.
