💥 WOW with your Abstract 💥

Each year, RRNW receives a large number of strong abstract submissions for a limited number of presentation slots. Because RRNW uses a plenary format, presentations are selected not only for technical quality, but also for their relevance, clarity, innovation, and value to the broader restoration community.

So what separates a good abstract from a great one?

➡️ What problem or question you addressed
➡️ Why it is unique
➡️ Why it matters to the restoration community
➡️ What story it tells

Western Beavers Cooperative is hosting a three-part webinar series focused on beaver ecology, occupancy assessment, and beaver-based restoration planning in western watersheds - from the beaver’s point of view. This is a second offering, as the first series earlier this spring filled up fast.

The series is designed for conservation practitioners working at watershed scale and is grounded in practical, field-based experience and a more complete understanding of what limits beaver occupancy and persistence at landscape scale.

Dates run April 30th to May 21st. Registration covers all three sessions. Learn more:

🌊 🦫🌲 🐟 Then and Now: 25 Years of Change in River Restoration and the Environmental Movement 🌊 🦫🌲 🐟

This year marks the 25th anniversary of RRNW—a milestone we’ll be highlighting throughout the year in a variety of ways, from storytelling and reflections to community connections that honor where we’ve been and where we’re headed. As we celebrate this moment, it offers a valuable opportunity to look back at how both RRNW and the broader environmental field have evolved over the past quarter century.

🎥 Invited Speaker recordings from the 2026 Symposium now available!

We thank our 2026 RRNW Symposium invited speakers for bringing fresh perspectives from across the field:

💥 Lydia Burgess-Gamble shared international lessons on nature-based solutions and biodiversity gains.
💥 David Skuodas highlighted innovations in urban waterway design that balance engineering and ecology.
💥 Emily Fairfax explored how beaver-driven restoration builds climate resilience.
