The EGC Back to School Giveaway is a Black Community gathering designed to celebrate and support Black students!

The Equitable Giving Circle: Back to School Giveaway for the Black Community is a gathering designed to celebrate and support Black students as they embark on their educational journey. Held at Rosa Parks Elementary School this year, the event will be filled with enthusiasm, empowerment, and a strong sense of unity within the community.

This event is aimed at ensuring that Black students feel well-equipped and empowered for success both inside and outside of school. With generous contributions from local businesses, community organizations, and passionate individuals, a vast array of school supplies, backpacks, and other essential items were made available for the students. Each family will have the opportunity to choose their backpack and supplies according to the age grade of their student(s). In addition to these amazing items, we will have our partners from OHSU provide sports physicals, vision and dental screenings, and insurance/healthcare navigators!
