It’s Market Dayyyyy! We love Market Day because we get to share food, recipes, laughter, and joy with our community!
Fun fact about our team, we was all raised in Portland. This is unique in an org like ours and it shows up in how we engage, support, and advocate for our community. We taking giving back to a whole new meaning as we are giving back to the people, community, and city that raised us!
Market and events are extra special for us because our community shaped us and taught us to show up like we do 🫶🏽

It’s almost tiiimmmeeeee!!
Our annual EGC Juneteenth Festival is next Saturday June 13th from 12pm-4pm at Boise Elliot School : 620 N Fremont, on the black top!
Juneteenth is about celebrating liberation in all its forms, glory, imperfections, and not enough right now. Juneteenth is about communuty, connection, and joy. Juneteenth is about history, legacy, and shared energy. It’s also the best reason to have a summer kick back, a vibe, a party if you will! 🎉
We got food, music, activities, and more planned. This is very much a family friendly kick back. We always have so much fun, you won’t want to miss it!
If you’re an EGC volunteer be sure to pop into POINT and sign up for an event shift! Many hands make for light work!

We are closed this week for our seasonal inservice! This year is the first year that we have carved out additional time outside of our top of the year no service and weekly meetings during the year to gather as a team and discuss our work, plan, check in, etc.
While we deeply don’t like to reduce communuty service we know how valuable it is for us to have time to connect, chat, and plan as a team. We need this time together so we can continue to show up as our best selves to serve our communuty.
We’ll see you all next week when programming resumes!

It’s Market Dayyyy!!! It’s a joy to see Community Members and to share resources. Pop by if you need groceries. If you’re financially stable and a fan show up as a donor, we do in fact need your support!
Its wild and amazing we’ve been doing this for SIX YEARS, working on year seven 🥳
