Seven years ago, David preached in a remote village, and 70 people gave their lives to Christ.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” — Romans 10:15

Paul didn't call those feet beautiful because of where they'd been. He called them beautiful because of what they carried.

Today, indigenous church planters are carrying the Good News of Jesus to communities where the Gospel has yet to be heard.

As the Gospel takes root, churches are formed and multiply.

Lives are transformed, families are strengthened, and communities experience lasting change.

Pray for the feet still carrying the Gospel today.

"Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people." — Matthew 14:19, NIV

Five loaves. Two fish. Thousands fed.

God has never worked in addition. He works in multiplication.

It's the same pattern we see today — one leader, equipped and sent, becomes one church. One church becomes many. One life changed becomes a whole community transformed.

Whatever is placed in His hands is never small for long.

Her leg was swollen and painful. The family had already tried what they knew.

First, the hospital. No help came.

Then a witch doctor, said to be powerful, but the rituals he required cost more than the family could pay.

One Sunday, she was brought to Pastor Emmanuel's church in South Sudan.

His congregation gathered around her and prayed.

That evening, she stood up and walked.

Pastor Emmanuel says she is still up and walking today!

He doesn't call it his miracle. He calls it God's.

South Sudan's Eastern Equatoria region, where Pastor Emmanuel and other church planters serve, is now facing one of its hardest seasons in years. The UN and the government just activated the country's first drought response plan on record, and nearly 8 million people across the country are facing crisis-level hunger.

And still, church planters like Pastor Emmanuel keep going door to door, discipling new believers, and showing up for their communities.

Pray with us for our brothers and sisters in South Sudan this week. For leaders like Pastor Emmanuel who are faithfully serving their communities and pointing them to Jesus despite severe hunger and uncertainty.

In South Sudan, tribes once divided are living side by side. Families are being restored. People who had no reason to trust one another are now serving one another. That is what a church does when it takes root in a community.

Pastor Alex is a Petros Network church planter in South Sudan, a place marked by civil war, extreme poverty, and a fragile peace. This year, crisis-level hunger has been added to that list.

Severe drought is deepening in South Sudan, where the UN and government just activated the country’s first-ever drought response plan for over 65,000 people. Our own church planters and in-country leaders are struggling to feed their families and communities as crops fail. Nearly 8 million people nationwide face crisis-level hunger.

And still, our church planters are going door to door, discipling new believers, showing up for their communities.

There are moments we carry with us.

- A church planter in Uganda who faithfully stayed when others had left.

These moments remind us that God is still building His Church.
