What is Ride For A Child (RFAC)? Each year a group of dedicated cyclists join together to support Candlelighters For Children With Cancer through Ride For A Child (RFAC). This extraordinary group of cyclists raise funds and awareness by riding in Cycle Oregon, a 7-day bicycling journey through Oregon, in honor of children and families battling childhood cancer. Groups of riders are connected with
a child who has recently battled cancer, named an Honored Child, for the year. These cyclists literally Ride For A Child- and raise awareness and support for Candlelighters along the way. Interested in being a RFAC cyclist? Join the RFAC team and meet new riders, make life-long friends, and enjoy group training rides all summer long. During Cycle Oregon we’ll supply your tent, transport your luggage, set up a group camping area each day, offer a shaded hospitality area with refreshments and great conversation. Every RFAC team member is encourages to set a fundraising goal of $2,500 or more. The RFAC team has plenty of fundraising and training ideas and helps riders create a personal fundraising website to make donor outreach easy. Candlelighters also connects each rider with an Honored Child to help tell the story of the wide variety of diagnoses and ages of children who battle cancer. Join us in the Spring of 2023!
