Help our women’s wheelchair basketball team, PNW Reign, hit the road to Spokane for a weekend of competition!

When : October 17–18, 2026
Where: Destination: Spokane, WA

We’re looking for a volunteer driver who can help transport our athletes and equipment!

What You’ll Need:
• A vehicle large enough for 2 athletes, 2 sports chairs, and 1 everyday wheelchair
• Availability to depart Saturday morning and return Sunday evening

What We’ll Provide:
- $150 stipend
- Food and overnight accommodations
- Gas reimbursement

Your support helps break down transportation barriers and gives our athletes the opportunity to compete, connect, and do what they love!

Reminder: Join us for Adaptive Archery!

Whether you’re new to archery or looking for more time to practice your skills, join Adaptive Sports Northwest for an afternoon at Archers Afield in Tigard!

The first 30 minutes will feature instruction, information, and feedback on archery form, followed by open practice time for participants to shoot at their own pace.

What an incredible 2026 Adaptive Cycling Series! From first-time riders to familiar faces returning to the track, we tallied 417 rides from 181 individual riders! This season was filled with movement, community connection, and plenty of smiles. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our biggest programming event of the year such a success!

Special thanks to Portland International Raceway for once again providing an amazing venue, Brad Davis at Nomad Cycles, our dedicated volunteers, and all of the community organizations and partners who helped make this series possible Move United, VA Adaptive Sports & Arts, The Boeing Company.

We’re already looking forward to more miles, smiles, and opportunities to ride together in 2027!

Adaptive Sports Northwest is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help coach our recreational and competitive Power Soccer programs! Whether you’re passionate about soccer, interested in adaptive sports, or simply ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you on the team.

No Power Soccer coaching experience is required — our current coach will help train and support new volunteers through the transition. Both disabled and able-bodied coaches are welcome!

📅 Recreational: Every other Saturday at 2:30 PM
🏆 Competitive: Sundays at 12:00 PM
📍 Season begins in October and runs through January/February.

Reminder, the CAF Grant Applications Open September 28!

The Challenged Athletes Foundation grant application period is coming up! Athletes looking for support to pursue their adaptive sports goals can begin applying for the 2027 grant cycle starting September 28, 2026.

This year’s grant cycle includes updated eligibility requirements and a 7-week application window, so now is a great time to learn more, review the requirements, and get ready to apply.
