Asked a young woman today if she knew what polio is?
What's Polio?
Wouldn't it be great if every young person in the world, could respond the same way?

This week I made my official Club visit as District Governor DG Renee Fontenot, Rotary District 5100. I started with my home club, Tualatin Rotary Club and met with the Rotary Club of Wilsonville .
At both clubs a member was recognized as a Groundbreaker. The District Groundbreaker Award goes to a club member whose service has sparked action, inspired fellow members, and Created Lasting Impact. By building meaningful partnerships beyond Rotary, the member helped broaden the club’s impact, create lasting change, and show what is possible when Rotarians work together with the community.
It was an honor to recognize Diane Bonica at the Tualatin Club and Curt Kipp of the Wilsonville Club I am looking forward to visiting 62 more clubs and hearing the inspirational stories of the clubs and their Ground Breakers.

Happy 4th of July!
Today I had the pleasure of riding in the Hillsboro Rotary Club parade. The club started this tradition 100 years ago. This is a well loved community event that relies on the collaboration with many community partners. Post parade, I sat at a table next to a Lion, Kiwanan, and Rosarian. Talked with representatives from various City and county governmental agencies, the mayor stopped by. The Hillsboro Rotary parade exemplifies service done well.
