Operation Nightwatch Portland

Operation Nightwatch Portland Operation Nightwatch provides nighttime hospitality to Portland's unhoused population to promote dignity, community and social connection.

Since 1981, Operation Nightwatch has been providing radical hospitality to alleviate the isolation experienced by those living on the streets. We also distribute essential items and offer drop in mental health support to those who request it.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, contributions, and achievements of Black Americans.
As we reflect on our nation's history, we also recognize the ongoing work of building communities rooted in equity, dignity, and opportunity for all. We join in honoring freedom, justice, and the continued pursuit of a more inclusive future.

We’re in the midst of one of the most transformative years in our history, including long-needed capital improvements made possible by our recent capital campaign.

While this work is ongoing, we’d like to connect with our community by sharing construction progress, updates on the on-site Agape shelter, and our outlook for the next fiscal year amid a volatile fiscal and political climate.

Join us on Tuesday, May 12, from 6:00–7:30 PM at 1432 SW 13th Ave.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Please enter through the Angel Doors on SW 13th; for ADA access, proceed to the Angel Doors and a staff member or volunteer will assist you via the ramp entrance.
