Our friends at the Unitarian Universalist Association and Side With Love are holding a conversation on defending public lands on Wednesday, October 21 at 7pm ET/4pm PT. 👋 Hello everyone! UUMFE recently gained some new followers, so we’d like to introduce ourselves.

🌎 UU Ministry for Earth is a nonprofit organization that serves Unitarian Universalists and multireligious people for whom Climate Justice is a core personal identity or spiritual practice.

🌱 Our mission is to be "a seedbed for spiritual grounding and education that inspires deep practices of Earth care, justice and flourishing for all.”

Programs include support and chaplaincy for climate despair, full moon gatherings, virtual worship services, and a Community Read book group.

Today is , which marks the creation of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1945 with the goal of raising awareness around food insecurity and building sustainable food systems.

Climate justice and food security are deeply intertwined.

One cannot exist without the other.

Side with Love is honoring 10 years of the Standing Rock Movement at The Gathering on Monday, October 12 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Joseph McNeil (Dakota) will reflect on energy sovereignty work today, the No Dakota Access Pipeline movement, and longtime Dakota/Lakota/Nakota values and cultural practices.
