We’re excited to introduce Milagro Theatre for our membership spotlight!

Since 1985 Dañel Malán-González, Founder & Executive Director has been making miracles at Milagro with Latino theatre, art, culture and heritage. As the only professional Latino arts, culture and heritage center in the state of Oregon, Milagro plays a central role both to the cultural network of Portland but also to the state of Oregon and the greater Northwest!

On October 16th, Milagro opens its 43rd season with the 31st annual Dia de Mu***os Celebration, which includes a play, Marigolds y Memorias, an altar tour in the central eastside, and several area workshops. The celebration concludes with Milagro’s annual Viva Milagro fundraising dinner on November 10th.

Celebrating the Power of Latino Businesses!

This past Saturday, we had the honor of celebrating the launch of El Poder de los Negocios Latinos, a book that highlights the stories, resilience, and incredible contributions of Latino entrepreneurs to our communities and economy.

During the celebration, we also signed an agreement marking a meaningful partnership: the royalties from the book will be donated to the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber to support our mission of advancing Latino economic prosperity and creating opportunities for future generations.

A heartfelt thank you to Mary Navarrete and Don José M. Gomez for their generosity, for sharing the powerful stories of our community, and for choosing HMC to be part of this journey.

Our stories have the power to inspire, but our collective actions have the power to transform generations. This book represents both: celebrating where we come from while investing in where we are going.

Together, we are not only celebrating Latino entrepreneurship but investing in its future. ❤️

📚 Get your copy of: El Poder de los Negocios Latinos today!Celebrate the stories of our community while helping create more opportunities for the next generation of Latino entrepreneurs.
