Our Torch Journey may have come to an end, but there’s still time to support the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association!

Over the past two weeks, CareOregonians have joined together through heart-healthy activities to spread awareness, raise funds and build excitement for the Portland Heart and Stroke Walk on June 6.

You can still donate or start your own team to make an even bigger impact. We hope to see you at the Heart and Stroke Walk on June 6! To learn more, visit pdxheartwalk.org

Kick off parade season with us at the Fred Meyer Junior Parade! 🎉

On Saturday, May 30th from 12-2pm we’ll be marching alongside the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area to celebrate one of Portland’s most beloved traditions.

As the oldest and largest children’s parade in the nation, the Fred Meyer Junior Parade highlights the creativity and imagination of youth across our community. We’re proud to be a part of this longstanding Portland tradition and look forward to celebrating with local families, community partners and paradegoers of all ages.

We hope to see you there! 🎈

Getting to a doctor’s appointment isn’t always easy.

For Amy, a CareOregon member, mother and person living with multiple sclerosis, having consistent and reliable transportation can be a challenge. Through the Ride to Care program, she’s able to get vehicle-provided rides to the care she needs.

Ride to Care helps members get to eligible appointments with free transportation options like public transit coverage, mileage reimbursement and vehicle-provided rides.

The countdown to the CareOregon Grand Floral Starlight Parade is on!

Last week our employees teamed up with the Portland Rose Festival Foundation and local volunteers to help clean up the Portland waterfront with Solve.

SOLVE is a local non-profit organization that routinely hosts trash pickup and habitat restoration events all over the state. We’re proud to partner with SOLVE to help keep our communities clean and safe for all.

What does a “good” day look like to you?

During Mental Health Month, we’re honoring this year’s theme, “More Good Days, Together,” by recognizing that good days can look different for everyone. A good day doesn’t have to mean being happy or productive. Sometimes it means having a manageable day, finding a moment of calm or knowing you have support when you need it.

Many factors that impact our health are beyond our control, but care, connection and community support can make a difference. No matter how you’re feeling now, remember that more good days are possible and help is available.
