October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🩷

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women and people assigned female at birth, though it can affect anyone. Breast cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in the breast. When breast cancer is found early, it is often easier to treat.

A mammogram can find breast cancer before there are signs or symptoms. If you are due for a screening, talk with your health care provider about when to schedule one. Mammograms are free for CareOregon members.
