We know it’s only been a few weeks since we asked for help with Cub, but we have to ask again. Kitten season has been hard for us, and Mabel’s ER vet bill left us with no choice.

Mabel is a sweet mama cat who raised five kittens in foster care. Last week, she became very sick very fast. She was straining in her litter box (24 trips in one day!), vomiting, and refusing even Churu. After several vet visits, she was hospitalized from Wednesday to Sunday with IV fluids, a feeding tube, an ultrasound, and a biopsy. Her vets believe it’s most likely FIP, and we’re waiting on biopsy results to confirm.

FIP used to be fatal, but since treatment was legalized in 2024, it’s now survivable. Within 24 hours of her first dose, Mabel started eating on her own again. She’s home now, but still has a long road ahead.

Mabel’s ER bill came to $5,049.24, and that’s before her FIP medication and continued care. We’re committed to giving every cat the treatment they need, and we’re also grateful that Mabel’s foster is matching the first $200 in donations.

Please donate below and share if you can. Thank you for helping Mabel!

Cub update!

Cub had his jaw surgery a couple of weeks ago to repair a broken jaw. He’s doing well - eating and recovering - but we’re still waiting on biopsy results from surgery 🙏

We ended up raising $3,035 for Cub, which is more than our goal! Thank you all so much for helping Cub 💕

Cub’s been through a lot and tomorrow he finally gets the surgery he needs to fix it. Thank you to everyone who donated and rooted for this sweet boy! We’ll be sending him all the good vibes tomorrow and hopefully share an update once he’s out of surgery 🫶

Holy wow, we’re already 60% of the way to our goal for Cub’s surgery! We have just $1215 left to raise to reach our goal 🙏

Cub has a broken jaw, causing him a lot of pain and to not be able to eat. He needs surgery to repair it, but the estimate is $3,000-6,000. Two of our volunteers have generously donated $3,000 towards his care, and we’re hoping to fundraise the rest to make sure that Cub is covered no matter what.

Donate to Cub’s surgery at the link in our bio! Any funds raised beyond what Cub needs will go directly to the care of other NWAC animals. Thank you for helping Cub!
