On behalf of Rose Haven we wanted to thank Adidas for continually supporting our mission ❤️ ⭐️ 👟 . On June 8th, our organization came together with Adidas for a women in leadership dinner. During this time we were able to further discuss how Rose Haven connects our guests with vital resources to ensure they can live dignified lives. One of the resources we offer is family hygiene kits, which include basic personal care items 🫧. Adidas graciously donated these toiletries, which we were then able to ensemble into complete dispersible kits with their support.

In past years Adidas has supported us in other ways, as of this May, employees of the company came together to volunteer at our annual Reigning Roses Walk, Rose Haven’s biggest fundraiser of the year 🌹! Checking folks in and assisting in raffle ticket sales at The Eleanor, Adidas played a crucial role in aiding with the events registration.

Gratitude to our friends at the for their hospitality during the 2nd quarter check presentation this week.✨ They awarded Rose Haven a $7,500 grant for our Intake & Crisis Stabilization program, which supported 1,660 brand new guests last year, and will likely support many more new folks this year. We were also gifted this beautiful necklace which definitely matches our style 😍🩷🧡💛

Today we celebrate and honor the the strength, courage, and brilliance of the Black community members of Rose Haven, and those throughout our country. Juneteenth reminds us that a better world can be cultivated, but everyone needs and deserves the justice, opportunity, and dignity to make it happen.

We are so grateful to Miss'ipi Chef for the incredible catered meal you made for our guests today, everyone cleaned their plates (those candied yams?? Yummmm) We are also so grateful to our amazing Community Care Advocates who planned this day. The warmth, fierceness, and devotion they show for our guests is so inspiring.

Rose Haven is excited to partner with Oregon BottleDrop this June for the 2026 Hidden Bottle Hunt 🔎. The Hidden Bottle Hunt is a yearly celebration of Oregon's bottle bill, which has effectively increased rates of recycling throughout the state, helping keep our cities litter free ♻️✨. With this, we want to encourage friends of Rose Haven to get outside, collect, and give back through participating in this community event!

⭐️ How it works:

-Through June 25-28, 2026 bottles will be dispersed throughout different geographic zones in Oregon, for Portlanders, this would be zone 1E.

-New clues will be dropped each day of the bottle hunt (or until all bottles are collected). To be notified of daily clues you can sign up at (https://bottledrop.com/hunt/ ) utilizing your email.

-The lucky finders of the hidden bottles not only get to keep the speciality bottle as a trophy, but they also get the chance to make a $1,000 donation to the BottleDrop Give nonprofit of their choice.

We kindly ask those participating in the hunt to support our mission through choosing Rose Haven as your intended non-profit.

Your support helps us provide day shelter, resources, emotional support, and community connections to women, children, and marginalized genders experiencing homelessness and poverty. Together, we can do even more for our community — and the planet! 🌱

🌟Community Spotlight🌟

Pictured is Lea, our clothing shop coordinator who joined Rose Haven last August through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Lea aids in the essential work of Rose Haven through running the shop and working on projects that staff doesn’t have the direct capacity to take on. When asked about her favorite part of the job, she stated “the genuine joy that guests feel when they find an outfit for themselves.” She points out the happiness and pride that comes when guests feel dignified and seen. She chose Rose Haven for her year long program, because she felt that it was an organization that was “very open and proud of its values.” 💞👗 ⭐️

In surplus we share donations with our community partners who support the work we do at Rose Haven!

How You Can Help Yourself and Your Loved Ones

Everyone is vulnerable to heat illness, especially those working or having fun outdoors, including your pets! To help yourself and your loved ones: hydrate, avoid strenuous activities, take more breaks, check in with your co-workers and neighbors. Rest in the shade. Heat illness is serious. Find a cooler place indoors, drink fluids, cool with water and consider seeking medical care.

❤Our names are Maddie and Elise and we are Girl Scouts working toward our Silver Award!

🌟We are so excited to be working with Rose Haven on a project centered around anxiety, mental health, and emotional support. Our project, "Cozy Companions", focuses on creating handmade weighted stuffed animals for guests at Rose Haven. These plush companions are designed to provide a sense of calm, grounding, and comfort during stressful or overwhelming moments, like a “soft support for a hard day.”

🐻We are hoping to create our first 20 weighted plushies to donate directly to the guests at Rose Haven. You can find out more about Rose Haven's mission by visiting their website rosehaven.org.

✨Each plush companion costs about $20 to make, which is covering:

• the stuffed toys
• weighted filling
• sewing supplies

💲Our initial fundraising goal is $400. Please consider sponsoring a single plushie at $20 or multiples. Donation Link in BIO

🥰We would be forever grateful for any support through donations, sharing this project, or coming and helping create some cozy companions (coordinated through Rose Haven). Every contribution helps

Thank you!
