The purpose of the Oregon Realtist is to enhance the professional and business conditions of NAREB® Realtist® members by strengthening the consumer capacity of Black, minority, and emerging target market segments that Realtists® serve. Once a Realtor joins NAREB they are referred to as Realtist!

📣 Did you know that Realtist Week carries a presidential legacy? 🇺🇸

In 1981, President Ronald Reagan issued the first national proclamation officially recognizing the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). He honored our members—the Realtists—for our unwavering commitment to “Democracy in Housing” and our leadership in the Black community.

While NAREB has been fighting for equal housing since our founding in 1947, that 1981 recognition brought a new level of national visibility to the high standards of professionalism provided by Black real estate experts.

Today, the Oregon Realtists are proud to carry that torch forward.

This April, we invite you to join us for Realtist Week starting April 12th. We aren’t just celebrating history; we are empowering Oregonians in real estate through:

• Community Wealth-Building: Helping more families bridge the homeownership gap.

• Professional Excellence: Elevating the standards of leadership in our industry.

• Legislative Advocacy: Ensuring “Democracy in Housing” is a reality for all Oregonians.
