TEDxDirigo We’re excited and preparing for our 2026 event on Nov. 14—TEDxDirigo GLIMMERS. TEDxDirigo is a global stage for Maine Ideas Worth Spreading, since 2010.

In the same spirit of the state motto, our event leads the way with ideas from Maine’s brightest innovators and change-makers. Our goal is for TEDxDirigo to be a catalyst for positive change in the state and world, where new ideas are funded and supported for the greater good of all.

GLIMMERS are on the horizon!

We are less than two months away from TEDxDirigo 2026, where an incredible lineup of speakers and performers will share ideas that spark hope and light the way forward.

While our official speaker reveal is just around the corner, here are a few hints about who’s joining our roster: a prominent local artist, a tech-forward farmer, and an Indigenous rights leader.

Any guesses?

Space is limited at the beautiful Halo at Thompson’s Point, and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

For those those who have attended a TEDxDirigo event in the past, you know that there are some topics, some speakers, who can shape the energy of the entire room. Whose story resonates so deeply that we all share a moment of presence while it unfolds and we all leave different for having heard it.

Last year, Taffy Field was one of those speakers.

Her story of deep grief, and of immense joy, left many in the hall moved. It also moved the TED Conferences community as well, as we are pleased to share that her talk has been selected to be promoted as an Editor's Pick by TED itself.

If you haven't had a chance, we highly recommend you listen to this tremendous talk.
