Last call: today is the final day to register to vote online in Maine for the Nov 3 election. It only takes a few minutes, and if you want a hand, stop by PRCC today, 102 Bishop Street, Portland, Maine 04103.

After today, you can still register in person at your town or city hall, or at your polling place on Election Day.

Register to vote at PRCC this Tuesday, Oct 13

Tuesday is the last day to register to vote online in Maine for the November 3 election. Stop by PRCC between 9am and 4:30pm and we’ll help you get registered in a few minutes. Bring your Maine driver’s license or state ID number.

Can’t make it Tuesday? You can still register in person at Portland City Hall (389 Congress St.) or your town office, right up until polls close on Election Day.

Know your rights: in Maine, a criminal conviction never takes away your right to vote.

We’ll also have voter info on hand, including early voting dates and how to find your polling place. Everyone is welcome, and it’s free.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

For so many people in our community, mental health and recovery go hand in hand. Anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma often walk alongside substance use, and healing one part of our lives usually means making room for the others too.

At PRCC, we believe no one should have to carry it alone. Our doors are open today from 8am to 8pm for anyone in or seeking recovery, and for the families and friends who love them. Come for a meeting, a cup of coffee, or just a place to sit with people who get it.

Monday Movie Matinee: Smoke Signals
Monday, Oct 12, 2 to 4pm at PRCC, 102 Bishop Street

This Monday is Indigenous Peoples' Day, and we're marking it with Smoke Signals, one of the first feature films written, directed, and acted by Native Americans.

It follows two young men from the Coeur d'Alene Reservation on a road trip to bring home the ashes of a father, and it's a funny, honest story about family, the hurt that drinking leaves behind, and what it takes to forgive.

Back in February we were celebrating 87, and the network keeps growing. We are thrilled to recognize Aileen as our October Volunteer of the Month! On Monday nights, members are warmly welcomed to PRCC by Aileen and her adorable pup. Aileen and her husband Chris generously provided a delicious lunch to all of our Rally 4 Recovery volunteers this year as well!
